Kent's Garden and Nursery

We sketched at Kent's Garden and Nursery again one sunny morning this summer! I'm just now posting this event. There were so many flowers, plants, garden art and buildings, it was hard to know how to narrow it down. We all had such a lovely time! Thanks Kent's for allowing us to come!

Schooner Zodiak

Our urban sketchers met at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal one summer morning and this was the view I chose to sketch. A large group of people were getting prepared to sail the Schooner Zodiak out into the islands for three days. I quickly sketched a few of the sailors as I was sitting above them on the terminal platform. Needless to say, the Schooner Zodiak cruised away from the dock before I was finished. Some of the group knew that I was sketching the scene and waved to me as they cruised away. What a delightful experience!

Sketching in Edison, Washington

Our group of sketchers had such a great time in Edison on Saturday morning! Edison is a very cute one block town, and brings crowds of visitors in the summer. This made for many subjects to sketch. We had a very fun day, and a great turnout. We'll have to go there again soon!

Tulip Fields

The weather was finally cooperative and we got to sketch at Roozengaarde in Mt Vernon.

This was an add on sketch crawl that we want to make an annual event.  Going during the week is the only way to go, as it was - it became extremely crowded as the day went on.  It was definitely worth it!

Close up of my sketches below.
